These Meditation Techniques For Beginners Are Simple, Yet Powerful

These meditation techniques for beginners focus on self awareness, silencing the noisy -- and chaotic -- internal dialogue, and concentration.

Meditation is focused awareness, and if you want to reap the benefits -- a balanced whole mind, inner peace, and seeing life from a higher perspective...

...developing your ability to concentrate is essential.

Because it eliminates negative subconscious programming and self limiting beliefs, meditation is healing and empowering -- which is just the thing for building healthy self esteem and confidence.

Who Can Meditate?

That anyone can meditate is a common un-truth that is spread around everywhere you look. As I said before, meditation is focused awareness, not distracted daydreaming. Attempting to meditate in poor physical or mental health, or in emotional turmoil can be very difficult, if not impossible...

...Pain, digestive disturbances, depression, anxiety, exhaustion, or any other such conditions can prevent you from learning how to meditate successfully.

Other Obstacles To Meditation...

Some other common obstacles to meditation are a negative personal belief system, too many responsibilities, and other endless distractions from children, pets, or otherwise. One of the most common ways that humans avoid looking closely at their lives and perhaps seeing how to make it better, is by creating a life of chaos, filled with all kinds of physical and mental distractions.

If your situation is such that you would not be able to meditate sucessfully, there is a solution -- it's how I began meditating when I had all kinds of physical and emotional difficulties....

....Centerpoint's "Holosync" system of meditation uses a special formula of "binaural beats" that create harmony and unification in the mind. Holosync trains your mind, and meditates for you -- and of such high quality, it's as if you've been doing it for years.

In other words...

...Holosync gives you all the benefits of meditation without having to work for it. It's a great solution for someone with too many obstacles in the way to begin, even these simple meditation techniques for beginners. The only drawback for some, is the cost. However, you get what you pay for...

...Holosync is expensive because, of all of the stuff you can find in the binaural beat field, it's the most comprehensive, powerful, and effective.

If you can't afford Holosync, and you really want to take advantage of the personal development meditation offers, then you'll need to make changes in your life that will allow this to be. But, if there's a will, there's a way!

For those who are ready to begin, here are some helpful...

Meditation Tips

  • Find a comfortable place to sit with your spine straight, where you will not be disturbed. Do not lean back. Keep both feet on the floor, with your hands in your lap, or palms down on your thighs. Sitting cross legged -- or similar position -- on a comfortable cushion is also fine as long as your spine is kept straight.

  • Keep your eyes closed, or open or whatever is most comfortable for you.

  • The best time to meditate is in the early morning hours when your mind is freshest. Try to meditate the same time each day.

  • Before you begin, make sure that you have gone to the bathroom, and are wearing comfortable clothing -- not too tight or constricting around the waste. Try not to eat at least an hour prior to meditating. Take care of things in your environment that might interrupt you -- let the dog out, turn off the phone, etc.

  • Before you begin, tell yourself that there is plenty of time throughout the rest of the day to think about things, worry about things, or make plans. Tell yourself that this time is for meditation only, and set your intention to have a successful practice.

Two Simple Meditation Techniques For Beginners

Here are two meditation techniques for beginners. After satisfying the conditions listed above, select one of the following...

Breathing Meditation...

Silence your thoughts, and focus on your breath. Breath naturally while focusing on the feeling of the breath going in and out. If you start thinking about something, pay attention to what it is, make note of it, and let it go. Then return your focus to your breath. Do this for as long as you like, but I recommend at least 15 minutes each day.

Physical, Emotional, And Mental Body Meditation Techniques For Beginners...

This meditation technique is holistic, balancing, and promotes better overall effectiveness and well-being.

Try to do this exercise at the beginning of each day -- Imagine that you have three bodys -- a physical, an emotional, and a mental body. They physical body is, of course your physical body. Your emotional body consists of your emotions, and how you feel. Your mental body is your linear, thinking mind. You will tune into each one individually.

Begin to focus on your physical body. Move your awareness throughout your body, and ask your body what it needs. When it tells you, make a decision to do what your body needs. Repeat the exercise with your emotional body, and then your mental body.

For those of you who really want to go deep into meditation, besides for Holosync, I also highly recommend reading "Concentration" by Mouni Sadhu. This book is packed with information and exercises designed to train your mind and achieve the best possible results.

Meditation is a self esteem activity like no other. Seeing yourself, and life from a higher perspective, and being able to think more clearly and effectively, just feels great. As for me...

...I can never get enough.

"Generally we waste our lives, distracted from our true selves, in endless activity. Meditation is the way to bring us back to ourselves, where we can really experience and taste our full being."

~Sogyal Rinpoche
